The Exterior Doors

Friends, I am happy to announce that we have painted doors.  The exterior doors are back up and looking pretty.  (The interior doors are still sitting in the garage, but completed, THANK GOODNESS.)
In a fresh coat of dark gray, they bring the drama, just like cape sleeves or housewifery.  Suddenly, the doorways feel tall and grand.
FANCY.  PANTS.
Why were we spraying the doors in the first place?  Since our doors are completely flat (no texture), spraying was crucial to getting the smoothest coat possible; smoother than rolling or brushing.
I know there is disappointment in some of your eyes to see that the exterior doors were painted gray instead of your all-time favorite "life vest orange".  Don't fret.  The gray doors now make the orange railing stand out ALL THE MORE.  (See?  YOU win!)  These doors are so standard and basic.  They're not an architectural feature, and we didn't want to highlight them, just have them compliment the whole structure.  Will you push past it?  (You KNOW deep down that gray was a good move.)
