The Master Bath Tile Floor Installation

Another weekend has come and gone! All we have to show for it is another Rancho Chico receipt.

The shower pan in the Master Bath was the first order of business on Saturday (AM). River Rock tiles were painfully installed rock by rock.

Just kidding. They come attached to mesh on 12" x 12" sheets. Don't get me wrong, it's still tricky to hide the where the sheets line up. Tyler did great. I finished the holes on the border.

I like it. Tyler loves it. It kind of works since we have a quarry of these outside.

Saturday afternoon (PM) consisted of grouting the gray floor tile. Here's my idea of a mess: "raven" colored grout in a small white room that only has one entrance/exit. I made a huge mess and (may have) freaked out.

This grout was like damp oreo-crumb-soot. Messy. My concern for freaking out: returning the next morning to finding permanent black shoe prints all over the wood floor and driveway that we couldn't see at night. It was just a nightmare.

Still a mess, but done.

Concept is slowly coming together. We are waiting on 6 more tiles until we can grout the rest. Maybe next weekend?

What did we do on Sunday? Let's just say the wood floors are sealed. They are (insert current cool catchphrase here)! Post to come.

  1. Is there still black foot prints on the wood floor and driveway?

  2. Sorry to mislead you "Anonymous". There were no raven shoe prints, thank goodness. It was just my fear that this would happen.
