The Butcher Block Top

Our butcher block top was installed this week, along with the cooktop. Thanks to Luke for the tongue oil source. It finished up a bit glossier than anticipated, as well as orange, but we're going to see how it goes. It does really compliments the cabinets. Sorry, no close up image. It's one of those weeks.


Here's a matching window seat, which divides the kitchen cabinets from the living room. Once we add a cushion this will be a popular spot, believe me.


Sneek peek: the fridge is in! It's smarter than us (and covered in a protective green film, but don't worry, it will match).

Next, the kitchen will be ready for the colorful and decorative elements: pendant lighting over the island (unselected), bright yellow stools (in my wish list), and bright green tile on the backsplash (one day).
