The Term "Modern"

When I introduced the exterior shot of our house, I also tagged a silly little NPR article regarding use of the term "modern". The link is NOW working, in case it lead you nowhere before. The synopsis of it was that we often use the term "modern" to mean "contemporary", but that it actually points to a particular art period (think Frank Lloyd Wright). So depending on your personality, art history background, or lingo, you may change how you use the term. Either way, I'm tagging our house as "mod-contemp-diving-board".
