The Roof Trusses

Framing is almost complete on our house and has caused a bit of a blogging race. With a crew, the framing process can go so quickly and change the house over the course of a day. I just can't keep up! As you'll see from the top to bottom of this post, it has been quite a week. Here is where we left off, with the garage starting framing. Much effort went into placing the header for the garage door.


As a result our house was ready for some roof work.

The roof trusses were brought in and installed.


What a difference a day makes.

Next the sheeting went on the roof trusses. View from the top of the roof! (No, Dad, I did not go up on the roof to take this picture. Tyler did.)

From the front door, now enclosed!

Before insulation was going to go in the ceiling, we had to cut out skylight holes. Ty in action can be seen on the last post. Nice results!

Finally, spray foam insulation was applied to our ceiling.

Next, we'll be getting into design decisions. (My favorite!)
