So, I have a thing for the color grey. It's been seeping into our design decisions ever so slowly and now reach epidemic proportions. Our unofficial motto has become "When in doubt, dark grey".
Charcoal showed up early on the siding. This is an example of what our siding will look like: standing seam metal in (yep) Charcoal.
Next it moved to furniture. We've been planning an exit strategy with our current sofa. Once we have a room to live in we plan on striking on the Gus Modern "Spencer" in Totem Storm.
The kitchen cabinets will be "deep space", the best paint color name ever. Design influence: Viola Park.
We are going to incorporate a lot of open shelving in our cabinetry, kind of like this.
Is this taking the color scheme too far? Blue Great Danes are awfully cute.

Gray is an exceptional color for me. It just stands out in every way. Like the photo of this house and even its furnishings, they look very cool and stylish. =)
