Spend or save money? Wait on things or do it now?
School is in session.
Take the time to have a detailed landscape plan in place before you start. Don't figure out what you want to do after 3 years so that you have to bring in heavy machinery at this phase of the project to remove rocks and a stump. You won't even document it, because you're so annoyed.
If it takes a week of your personal time to build one gabion wall and it takes a machine an hour, use a machine. Your back will thank you.
It takes 15 minutes to caulk your kitchen. Don't wait 2 years to do this. There is no reason to wait. Why did you wait? Do it now. Right now.
If it costs $300 to have the drywall finished, and it will get done in 2 days, then pay for that. Don't let it drag into a 3 month process. Paint it yourself, though. That's easy and rewarding.
Lessons learned.
