On a rainy day in April, we broke ground! Not knowing what we’d find underneath, it was a relief to find out our large basalt outcropping didn’t extend too far into our building plans. Though we will have to make some minor adjustments on our location to accommodate him, all is well. All is not well for the lovely group of bushes and trees shown in the first post. They unfortunately did not have a good day.
